Extension Services
New Extension Clients:
-
Before anything else, a consultation is required for all new extension clients. This is where we get to know your hair goals, talk through your lifestyle and budget, and figure out what kind of transformation you’re looking for—whether it's just a little volume, mermaid-length drama, or something in between.
To make it easy, I have a digital consultation form you can fill out at your convenience. Once submitted, I’ll review your info and reach out to schedule a time to meet in person or virtually to map out your perfect plan.

Extension FAQ
-
Not at all—when installed and cared for properly! Beaded row extensions are one of the most gentle, lightweight extension methods available. I take extra care to ensure your rows are placed and maintained in a way that protects your scalp and natural hair. With regular move-up appointments and a few simple at-home care steps (like brushing gently and avoiding buildup), your natural hair can actually thrive while wearing extensions!
-
On average, beaded row extensions need to be moved up every 6–8 weeks to keep them sitting comfortably and blending beautifully. During your appointment, I’ll reposition the rows to match your natural hair growth and keep everything feeling secure. The hair itself can last 6–12 months with proper care—so once we find your perfect match, you're set for the long haul!
-
Yes, absolutely! You can curl, wave, straighten, and style your beaded rows just like your natural hair. In fact, most clients say styling gets easier with extensions because they hold shape and volume so well. I’ll walk you through the best heat-protectant products and care tips to help your extensions stay silky and beautiful. (Sulfate-free shampoo will be your new best friend!)
Extension Care
-
Extension hair doesn’t get natural oils from your scalp like your own hair does. Before it ever makes it to your head, it goes through a chemical process to be cleaned, colored, and sewn into wefts—which means it’s more porous and prone to dryness.
In other words: your extensions are thirsty.
Hydrated hair holds its tone, resists tangling, and lasts so much longer.✔️ Use a sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoo and a rich, hydrating conditioner
✔️ Add in a weekly deep conditioner or leave-in treatment
✔️ Focus hydration on mid-lengths to ends—this is where extensions live and where they need the most love
✔️ Don’t sleep with your hair wet—damp + tension = unnecessary stress on your natural hairYour extensions will literally thank you by staying soft, shiny, and beautiful for months to come.
-
Summer can be rough on extensions—but it doesn’t have to be.
Remember this:
“A dry sponge can absorb a lot. A wet sponge can’t.”
If you’re swimming, always wet your hair with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner first—that way your hair absorbs the good stuff instead of chlorine, salt water, or lake gunk.
And yes, your extensions can get sunburned. UV rays don’t just fade your color—they can literally dry out and damage your hair. Use a heat protectant spray before outdoor exposure, even if you’re not styling with heat. It acts like sunscreen for your strands.
Speaking of sunscreen:
Some SPF ingredients can turn your extensions peachy-orange—especially around the ends or hairline.
🚫 Avoid sunscreens with:Avobenzone
Homosalate
Octocrylene
Opt for a mineral-based sunscreen instead (zinc oxide is your friend), and if you’re applying SPF on your body, tie your hair up first so it doesn’t rub against your back or shoulders.

Let’s keep this simple. Here’s what to do (and what to definitely avoid):
✅ DO:
Brush from the ends up, using an extension-safe brush
Sleep with hair in a loose braid or ponytail to avoid tangling
Use a silk or satin pillowcase (bonus: it’s good for your skin too)
Keep up with move-up appointments every 6–8 weeks
Use only salon-recommended products (I’ve tested ‘em all so you don’t have to)
🚫 DON’T:
Use shampoos with sulfates, parabens, or high alcohol content
Apply purple shampoo directly to dry extensions (you’ll get uneven tones)
Pull hair into tight ponytails or buns daily—this causes unnecessary tension
Skip brushing—it takes 60 seconds and can save your extensions from matting
Sleep with wet hair (seriously, don’t do it)
Proper home care is what keeps your extensions looking as good on day 60 as they did on day one. I’ll walk you through everything at your appointment, but this is your little love letter to your future hair.
